Switch from Yardi or AppFolio without starting over
We move your data, run both systems through a month-end close [CONFIRM], and switch your team over once the books match.
Everything you do in your current system, you can do in Darcy
Darcy covers leasing, resident payments, maintenance, accounting, and reporting. You won’t need to keep Yardi or AppFolio running for one module, or pay for both once you’ve switched.

Your history comes with you
Upload your exports from AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, or Rent Manager, along with your lease PDFs. Darcy’s Migration agent stages every record with errors and duplicates flagged, and proposes the import in batches that reconcile to your files’ totals to the cent. Nothing is imported until you approve it, and each batch can be undone until other records depend on it.

General ledger history [CONFIRM]
[CONFIRM anything we don’t migrate, and what we recommend instead]
A typical migration takes [X] weeks [CONFIRM]
How long it takes depends mostly on how many entities you have and how clean your current ledger is. We’ll give you a timeline after looking at a sample export.
Weeks 1–2: Load your data [CONFIRM]
You upload your exports. Darcy stages every record and flags errors and duplicates, and we work through them with your accounting lead.
Weeks 3–4: Set up and test [CONFIRM]
We import in batches, set up your automations and agents, and check every property’s balances against your current system.
Weeks 5–8: Run both systems [CONFIRM]
Your team works in both systems through one full month-end close. We reconcile the two and fix any differences.
Switch over
Once the books tie out, your team moves to Darcy and resident and prospect messaging turns on.
We do most of the work, and we tell you exactly what we need from you
Darcy’s team
Staging, cleanup, and importing your data
Balance checks for every property
Setting up automations and agents
Training for leasing, maintenance, and accounting staff
Your team
Your exports from your current system
An accounting lead for about [X] hours a week during cleanup and the parallel close [CONFIRM]
Sign-off on balances before switch-over
Your team learns the jobs they do, not the whole system
Leasing agents, technicians, and accountants each get training on their own workflows. Most staff are working in Darcy after one session [CONFIRM], and your implementation lead stays on through your first close [CONFIRM].
Plan the switch around your current contract
Tell us when your Yardi or AppFolio contract renews and we’ll schedule the migration to finish before it does, so you aren’t paying for both systems longer than you have to.
